• Yagna is followed by Sampradan where the bride is brought to the Yagna site on the shoulders of her family members, while seated on a special wooden puyol.

• Saat Paak, also called Saat phere is a special ceremony in which the bride and groom walk seven times around the holy fire to ensure all future mishaps are burned away while the priest recites the Vedas and mantras.

• Now a ceremony called Anjali is performed. where rice, flowers, and other sacred things are placed in the hands of the couple by the bride’s brother. Then the couple pour it into the fire to invoke the blessings from the gods in return.

• Finally, the groom fills the parting in the hair of his bride with sindoor which is the last ritual to mark the completion of marriage in Indian tradition.
